My approach to tutoring personal study programmes is to offer a blend of academic curriculum subjects based on the Socrates method. Inspired by Socrates, the Greek philosopher who promoted learning through dialogue where we embrace education as a process of continual inquiry and reflection. The Socratic method encourages learners not merely to absorb knowledge, but to question assumptions, explore multiple perspectives, and cultivate deeper understanding through thoughtful engagement with ideas and with others. The Socrates method is a teaching technique involving a dialogue of open-ended questions between a teacher and student to stimulate critical thinking and deeper understanding, not only in a classroom setting but other environments and through engaging in travel — exploring ideas and places to expand the mind, where growth through exploration leads to a Socratic approach to education and travel.
Instead of providing answers, the teacher asks probing questions to enable students to examine their own beliefs, uncover contradictions in their reasoning, and arrive at truths through collaborative inquiry – a tailored person centred approach whilst promoting health and wellbeing; offering an holistic approach to study and learning.

I work hybrid both on-line and in person in a variety of blue and green learning spaces around cities and parks in a variety of different environments with an emphasise on connecting to nature. I incorporate my professional training through a blend of different disciplines to include academic, travel, outdoor education, coaching, cognitive behaviour therapy and Pilates movement sessions.
I am available to travel to different blue and green spaces to deliver sessions both curriculum based as well as outdoor therapeutic sessions depending on availability and subject to a travel fee. Contact us to find out more.
