I work across both private and public education sectors, including leading independent schools and higher education in the UK. I currently teach at an international boarding college in Oxford and provide private tuition to students throughout the world.

Alongside my tutoring work, I have experience in higher education and have lectured on the undergraduate osteopathy degree programme at the University of Stafford, with specialist interests in human biology and health.

I am also the founder of Fitness Excel, an education and wellbeing initiative through which I have delivered teacher training programmes in health and physical education in the UK and overseas, including an Erasmus-funded educational project.

Outdoor Education and Research

My interest in outdoor education encourages students to explore the connections between biology, geography and the natural environment. Through interactive learning, I aim to help learners understand how landscapes, ecosystems and different cultures influence human experiences and wellbeing.

My MA in Outdoor Education at the University of Worcester has inspired my research into pilgrimage, long-distance walking and the relationship between landscape, health and wellbeing. I have presented this work at international conferences in outdoor education and adventure therapy and have published research exploring women’s wellbeing experiences through pilgrimage walking.

I am committed to continuing professional development and hold current DBS clearance, safeguarding and online safety certification. I am also a professional member of educational and outdoor learning organisations.

Why Choose Personal Tutition?

Personal tuition provides a supportive learning environment where lessons are adapted to the individual needs of each student. Whether a learner needs help with a particular subject, preparation for an examination or support to build confidence, tailored tuition allows them to progress at their own pace.

A personalised approach can help to strengthen subject knowledge, improve study skills and encourage greater participation in learning. Sessions are designed to develop understanding, organisation and independent thinking, while also helping students manage the demands of school and examinations.

For primary and 11+ students, lessons focus on building strong foundations in English, mathematics and reasoning skills. For secondary and AS Level students, structured support can improve confidence, exam technique, time management and academic performance.

Individual learning plans are developed following an initial consultation to identify each student’s goals and aspirations, ensuring that teaching is tailored to their specific needs.
