Outdoor Education Lessons – A Global Perspective on Learning

I offer interactive online lessons that connect biology, geography and physical education to the outdoor environment. These sessions will explore how the natural world shapes human experiences, ecosystems, and historical events, encouraging a deeper understanding through real-world examples. Through incorporating perspectives from different cultures, these lessons will provide a global outlook on how communities interact with their landscapes, traditions, and environmental challenges. This cross-cultural approach will inspire curiosity, foster a meaningful connection with nature, and promote a deeper appreciation of diverse ways of understanding the world.

In addition, I deliver classes which specialises in back pain, posture, Pilates & Yoga. (www.fitness-excel.com). Specialist interests: Adventure tourism, travel, outdoor sports and leisure, strength and conditioning, health and wellbeing, outdoor therapy.

My MA Outdoor Education at the University of Worcester has inspired me to advance research on pilgrimage, long-distance walking, and the relationship between landscape, health and wellbeing. I have presented this work at international conferences in outdoor education and adventure therapy, including events in Tokyo, Spain, Italy, and Taiwan (2024–2025), with Norway scheduled for 2026. I write articles for magazines and journals and have also published my first academic article for the Journal of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism, 2025 with a specific research focus on exploring women’s wellbeing experiences through long distance walking on a pilgrimage.

Why Personal Tutition?

Benefits of tuition is it can help boost students grades, restore confidence and participation in learning.  A private tutor can help in all stages of education, whether this is a specific subject, to prepare for an exam or just catch up sessions. A focused, tailored approach specialising in a subject will enable students to learn at their pace, flexible and affordable to meet their needs.

Specific tailored requirements are made through a coaching session with the student to determine their goals and aspirations, structured lessons are designed which helps build skills and confidence in English.  At secondary, high school level where students are preparing for exams and tests, time management, lifestyle balance and additional help with work can build confidence, by focusing on exam techniques.
